Ben Piller
Specialist Orthodontist, BDS (Syd), MDSc (TAU)
Dr Piller was raised in the Eastern Suburbs and is delighted to be practising specialty orthodontics in his local community. Upon visiting the practice, you will notice his devotion to providing a professional, modern and friendly environment, along with his love of surfing and technology.
Dr Piller has enjoyed 15 years in the dental profession. After completing a Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Sydney, he then practised as a general dentist for five years, before embarking on further specialty studies at Tel Aviv University, completing a Master in Orthodontics.
Dr Piller always endeavours to provide the highest level of patient care, comfort and treatment outcomes. His treatment philosophy is a simple one: To achieve facial balance, harmony and to create beautiful smiles.
Dr Piller appreciates that each patient is unique and presents with their own biological gifts. He works closely with his patients to understand their treatment and lifestyle goals, which will be carefully considered when developing a customised treatment plan. Having an open approach to communication, Dr Piller will clearly and candidly walk you through the process and provide you with a realistic timeframe to achieve a favourable result.
Dr Piller is committed to continued education. He attends conferences and gives lectures both locally and abroad, staying at the forefront of the profession. He holds an annual seminar for the local dental community to update them on the latest advances in the field. Dr Piller is a registered Specialist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is also a member of the Australian Society of Orthodontists and the Australian Dental Association. He is also a Platinum Elite Invisalign Provider, which is given to an orthodontist who has demonstrated a high level of expertise and success in treating patients with the Invisalign system.
Outside of the practice, Dr Piller enjoys spending time with his family and friends, discovering new restaurants, travelling and keeping fit. His favourite recreational activities are surfing, swimming and snowboarding. You may even see him catching a wave at Bondi Beach sometime.
Angie
Practice Manager and Treatment Coordinator
Having started as a dental nurse 26 years ago, Angie has built a great deal of knowledge in all areas of the dental and orthodontic profession.
Angie’s experience and professionalism are second to none, and her passion is obvious in her role as practice manager and treatment coordinator.
Communication is of the utmost importance to Angie, which is shown in her delivery of information and education to our patients. She has a friendly and warm nature and enjoys building relationships with the patients and families at The Smile Suite.
Being a people person, Angie takes a great deal of pride and satisfaction in being a part of the patient’s journey, supporting them throughout and celebrating the beautiful smiles we achieve together. Angie works closely with Dr Piller and the team to ensure that The Smile Suite provides a friendly, professional and pleasant environment for our patients.
Being an active and health-conscious person, she enjoys regular F45 workouts, along with spending time in the garden and walking her dogs. She also has a love for music… You may even hear her singing along to tunes in the clinic from time to time.
